Friday, July 1. The site is quiet today, as a lot of the guys are taking an early break for the long weekend. But they’ve been busy the last couple of weeks. Construction has really accelerated on the 4th floor,
Lots happening! First spiral stairs going in! Roof getting solar panel attachment points and insulation. Steel lintels installed in preparation for elevator lobbies. 3rd floor framing moving forward, and 4th floor prep. Wow!
On June 9, Mayor Jackson paid a lightning visit to the Roebling Center site, and toured construction progress on Roebling Lofts. These projects are among the most critical economic development projects in Trenton, and the Mayor pledged his continuing support.
Construction has continued at a good clip, though there haven’t been a lot of “new” image opportunities. It’s been a lot of the same stuff. On the north end of the building, masons are building the fire stair well. 3rd floor framing is nearly complete,
The 3rd floor is the most advanced in the building, with lofts units being framed-out rapidly. While it’s still early, the high ceiling heights and beauty of the i-beams are now evident. The sub-floor-boards will be exposed in the ceilings.

As of late April, the subfloor replacement on floors 2-4 has continued. New, the roof deck is now being installed. Also, on the third floor you can see the first evidence of interior framing: the corridor with entrance doors is now being demised.

Recently, Channel 6’s much-loved NJ affairs reporter, Nora Muchanic, paid a visit to the Roebling Lofts site and interviewed the three HHG principals who are responsible for the project. We had fun, and so it seemed did Nora! Check it out!
